Ölands Djur & Nöjespark near Färjestaden is the island’s biggest family destination — a combined zoo, amusement park, and waterpark all in one. Founded in 1974 and a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA), it’s the kind of place where you can easily spend an entire day.

The Zoo

Home to animals from around the world — tigers, lions, chimpanzees, gibbons, lemurs, zebras, tapirs, flamingos, Asiatic black bears, and free-roaming peacocks, among others. The park participates in European breeding programs for endangered species.

Rides and Attractions

19 rides are included with your ticket — no extra costs. There’s also Dinoland (life-sized dinosaur models) and Sagoland (Fairytale Land) for younger visitors.

Pirate Island Waterpark

At 15,000 m², it’s one of Sweden’s largest interactive water parks. The pools are heated to 22-24°C. Bring swimwear and towels — swim diapers required for toddlers.
