  • Midsummer — Traditional maypole raising, folk music, and dancing at venues across the island
  • Öland Roots (8-11 July) — Reggae and world music festival

Off-Season Events

  • Christmas markets — Traditional julmarknad in Borgholm and an atmospheric market at Himmelsberga museum
  • IRONMAN Kalmar (15 August) — The bike course crosses the Öland bridge onto the island. Expect some road closures but a fantastic spectator atmosphere.

Finding Events

The best resource is the official Öland event calendar at en.oland.se/Calendar — filterable by date and category. For concerts specifically, check en.oland.se/concerts.

Many smaller events and live music evenings are only posted on social media or local notice boards in Borgholm — keep an eye out when you’re in town.
