Kaffetorpet is a charming café dating back to 1890, nestled just outside the gates of Solliden Palace — the Swedish royal family’s summer residence. It has its own bakery producing bread, cookies, cakes, and pastries on-site, many made with fruit and berries from the palace gardens.

The menu goes beyond fika — expect hot meals like meatballs, pies, salads, and hearty sandwiches alongside royal-themed cakes (Princess cake, Silvia cake) and apple pie made with apples from Queen Victoria’s own apple tree. They serve coffee from polished copper kettles, local craft beer, wine, and Solliden’s own apple juice pressed from hand-harvested apples from the palace orchard’s ~250 trees.
